Sometimes a simple, sparse type treatment serves as the perfect branding tool. We actually went through quite a few iterations of concepts for Up and Comer. Within each presentation of treatments the owners could find many aspects they appreciated yet they were have trouble committing to just one logo (which of course is one of the many challenges for a new business owner). We even went so far as to propose a number of mascots for the company’s identity including a wonderfully illustrated platypus (don’t ask). Ultimately, we went back to the original round of treatments and landed on this simple, bold, and playful mark you see here.
