While we were working on a skateboard catalog for Relentless, we were feeling a lack of continuity within the layout and proposed to the owner that having a company logo (as supposed their then standard typeface) would help us develop a more distinctive piece and help define their overall look. The simple RS icon within the logo became the visual anchor we were looking for. The owner stated how much he liked the feel of the final logo, especially since he thought it looked like it got caught in a photocopier. At the end of the day, we weren’t able to deny that fact.
