We were excited to hear that we were in the running with a number of other design studios for this project. Then we met one of the owners and realized this was a project we HAD to do. Fortunately for us we were the chosen designers and thus began our lengthy relationship with the wine boutique. The owners had some great archival photography that we used for inspiration as well as integrating into their marketing materials. The identity itself was an exercise in bridging the gap of old school and new school. Ideally we wanted to develop a mark that honored the past of Harlem yet didn’t feel dated.
