Lif has been a friend and staunch supporter of our studio over the years, we’re always stoked to do work for him. When it was time to release a collection of singles, b-sides and hard to find collaborations, he asked us to come up with a concept. The only issue was when Lif called on Wednesday, he needed the artwork uploaded to the manufacturer by Friday…morning. It’s obviously great to have the luxury of a longline to finesse, revise and tweak a project, but when you don’t that’s when you really need to trust your instincts and edit on the fly.
When time came to release Sleepyheads II, again Lif gave us free reign to develop the packaging. We had just designed a one of a kind Mr. Lif skateboard deck for a design installation and decided to utilize the 12 Lif logos we developed for that. When we presented the packaging treatment to him, all he said was “amazing, approved.”
