Fountain of Tears
You could say we go way back with our clients and friends, Mascara. The artsy rock trio even asked us to propose a title for their newest record. We suggested “Fountain of Tears” — which is the translation of a song title appearing on the release. With the title quickly in place, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to propose a cover consisting of simple, expressive typography. It was refreshing to see the band embrace the understated, yet powerful concept of type as image. In fact, as we carried the tears concept through the entire packaging, they let us cry all over the lyrics, track listing and band photography.
